Straight answers before you ship
Not sure whether you need repair, replacement or cloning? Start with the questions customers ask us most often.
Many engine and powertrain control modules can be repaired. We test the original unit first and recommend repair, replacement or cloning based on what we find.
Repairing your original module normally preserves its existing vehicle data. Many repaired or properly cloned modules reinstall without dealership programming, although some vehicles can require an additional relearn or setup procedure.
Most repairs are completed within 1–3 business days after the module arrives. Shipping time is additional, and more complex units can require extra diagnostic time.
Common symptoms include a no-start condition, no communication with a scan tool, intermittent stalling, transmission shifting problems, multiple trouble codes or a check-engine light that returns after other causes are ruled out.
A $125 diagnostic evaluation applies whether or not a repairable fault is found. We will explain the test results and next steps. If the module is repairable, the total cost is $295, including the $125 evaluation—you do not pay $125 plus $295.
Qualifying repairs and rebuilt modules are backed by a lifetime warranty, subject to the applicable warranty terms.
